It was amazing that our guide was able to give us the names of the birds in English without any hesitation.  About all these pictures [...]]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We owe apologies to our birding friends to whom we promised lots of bird pictures.  We did see some 22 varieties of birds while in the Amazon.  It was amazing that our guide was able to give us the names of the birds in English without any hesitation.  About all these pictures do is to prove that there are birds in the Amazon.  Being in a rocking boat with very minimal telephoto capability and being slow on the trigger (took lots of air shots) we did the best we could.  </p>

<p>This does it for the birds.  Pretty pathetic but that&#8217;s what we have.  When we get to the Galapagos Islands, there will be lots of good bird shots.</p>
